MCU 2024-25AY 2nd Semester Course Reduction Application Notice<\/a><\/p>\nDear Secretaries,<\/p>\n
Starting 2023-24 Academic Year, the\u00a0comprehensive examination for midterm, final, and graduation has cancelled, as those examinations are arranged and held by the teachers,\u00a0the Ming Chuan University Post-midterm Course-reduction Application is revised to Ming Chuan University Course-reduction Application upon the approval of the Academic Affairs Committee Meeting\u00a0\u00a0on November 28, 2024. The regulation is posted on the Chinese and English version of the Academic Affairs Division, under the tab Regulations. The adjusted regulations are as the following:<\/p>\n
Article 2 Students should apply for course-reduction during week 14 of the current semester from Course Withdrawal under the Course Information tab\u00a0within the Student Information System. The deadline to confirm and submit the online application is 4 pm of Friday of week 14, as all\u00a0applications will be processed jointly by the Academic Affairs Division.<\/p>\n
Article 5 In accordance with the General Provisions for Study, a semester\u2019s total credits must not fall below the minimum credits required for full-time enrollment after the course reduction.<\/p>\n
Undergraduates: 12 credits for 1st<\/sup>\u00a0to 3rd<\/sup>-year students; 9 credits for 4th<\/sup>-year students and 5th<\/sup>-year students of Architecture department.<\/p>\nMaster\u2019s students in 1st<\/sup>\u00a0or 2nd<\/sup>-year cannot be lower than 1 course.<\/p>\nAttached is the MCU 2024-25 Academic Year\u00a02nd<\/sup>\u00a0Semester Course-reduction Application Notice (one in Chinese and one in English version ). Please assist notifying class advisors and students. Also, please remind students to\u00a0use computer or laptop\u00a0to login to the Student Information System to apply within the application period from\u00a09:00 am on May 19th<\/sup>\u00a0to 4:00 pm on May 23rd<\/sup>, 2025,\u00a0no late applications will be accepted.\u00a0The result of course drop will be posted on the course schedule in the Student Information System on May 26th<\/sup>, 2025.\u00a0Please double check online (within Student Information System, under Course Schedule, select Second Semester).<\/p>\nBest Regards,<\/p>\n
